Let's Catch Up!

So, it has been an absolutely crazy busy summer & fall. Gavin is growing up like crazy and we are having fun watching him! He is now 7.5 months old... there is a whole bunch he can do:
1. He pulls himself up to a stand on anything he can!
2. He says 'dada', 'baba' & 'mama'
3. He tries to feed himself
G is still having some trouble sleeping through the night and getting on a routine nap schedule... he is so unpredictable. While mommy is on a school break, we are trying to make this happen! Gavin is such a happy boy... he amazes me every day!
I have completed my first semester of Nursing School... I had a very hard time balancing the demands of school (it is intense) as well as the demands of mommyhood, wifehood, running a household and so on. My mission next semester is to have better time management and create harmony in our home! I am still running my Mary Kay business... it is a phenomenol company and I am proud to be a part of it. I am enjoying my time off and am checking things off of my to-do list! I am hoping to transition into student life again smoothly! XO for now!

Two Months on the Job!!

I can't believe that Gavin is already two months old!! As I have adjusted to being his mommy, I have discovered my favorite things about motherhood:
10. Seeing how long I can use the phrase... "I just had a baby..."
9. I don't need an excuse to wander into Baby Gap.
8. Rolling with a carseat in my backseat is just plain COOL!
7. Is Gavin getting enough to eat? Sleep? Is he pooping enough? Is he cold? Hot? Worry, worry, worry...
6. Spending a good portion of my day trying to catch Gavin's adorable smile or "coo" on video.
5. Knowing the differance between Boppy, Bumpo, binky and blankey.
4. Making Rocco a Daddy... his truest calling.
3. Wearing my C-Section scar as a badge of honor.
2. Cuddling with Gavin while he catnaps.
1. Knowing I finally have a job that I was BORN for, cannot get an education for, will never get a paycheck for, cannot get a vacation from and loving EVERY minute of it!

Cosato Update!

Baby Cosato:
Growing, growing & growing! He/she weighs right about 3.5 pounds right now!! Baby C. moves around so much... when does he/she sleep?? Our doc was a little concerned about some extra amniotic fluid and dilated kidneys, but all seems to be ok! :) Only 8 more weeks (give or take a few days!) We have halted production on the nursery until after the baby makes it's appearance (and gender) known! I thought I could decorate a fabulous gender-neutral space for the baby, but decided it can wait until this summer!! I can't wait to work on it... you know I love to decorate! Baby shower is April 11th... super excited! I am hoping to feel way more prepared after that!!

Katie:
Busy, busy! With what? Well... growing a baby, being a doting wife, working full time for Caltrans, my WONDERFUL Mary Kay business, still decorating our house, studying every baby book written on how to become the perfect new mom, fund raising for the 3-day Breast Cancer walk in Santa Barbara this September... and so on! I am so excited for my maternity leave to begin! I'll be home bonding with baby C. May, June & July!!

Rocco:
Still traveling every week for work! We hope one day he can ditch the suitcases and hotel rooms for some permanent dresser space and home cooked meals! For now, he enjoys what he is doing with Caltrans and works so darn hard! He finally had enough of his hunk of junk car and we got him a truck to play with... and chauffer me his baby around! He is going to be local for a few weeks after the baby is born, so I am really looking forward to that precious time together!

Wow... 2010 is a HUGE year for us! Besides becoming parents, we have a lot planned!
May- our baby arrives & we celebrate our first anniversary!
July- Spending a week in Dallas
September- Disneyland & Santa Barbara for my breast cancer walk
November- Carribean Cruise

We are so excited for this year!!
